Conceptual Essay Summary- Tania and Daisy
Daisy and I will be focussing our paper on blogging. Blogging is a new literacy that allows children and adults from all over the world to communicate with each other. It is considered a form of social media that allows children to use their writing, reading, and typing skills to interact by discussing topics at hand and posing questions/answers. Our goal is to encourage the use of blogging in an early childhood setting. We will pose ideas and strategies on how blogging can be utilized. The articles we have decided to use are based on the positive effects blogging has on the students.

It'll be interesting to hear how you will encourage blogging to young children. I'm sure there are lots of interesting, fun ways to do so that'll engage them and capture their attention.
ReplyDeleteWe hope to be able to state how blogging can be incorporated in a grades as young as pre-k. We also hope to be able to come up with interesting ways blogging can be assigned as a class project or be used as individual assignments. Daisy
ReplyDeleteI think you should also include the concerns of people who are wary of blogging with young children. So rather than just dealing with the positive side and encouraging this kind of activity, you'd want to air some of the problems that people see.
